Printed on antique laid paper with a watermark of an oval with decoration, surmounted by a crown. In good condition other than some wrinkling in the lower portions of the top and bottom margin.
Buttner was a German Expressionist and member of the Berlin Secession Group. He designed the bookplate for Albert Einstein in Berlin around 1917.
