Max Mougel American (1895-1988) Outgoing Tide 11-7/8 x 14-7/8 in. Etching and drypoint, c.1935-43, edition about 25. Initialed in the plate, lower right. Signed and titled in pencil. Rubber stamp of the "Federal Art Project NYC WPA," in the lower margin. In good condition with full margins. Sheet size: 15 x 18-3/4 in. Mougel did over 25 prints for the WPA from 1935-43. His works are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Art. $450.
